Located on Main Road in the charming town of Spilsby, The Eaves Restaurant Ltd offers an authentic British dining experience steeped in warmth and tradition. Specializing in classic English cuisine, this cozy eatery invites guests to indulge in hearty, satisfying dishes crafted with care and fresh ingredients. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a welcoming atmosphere marked by low ceilings and intimate seating, perfect for relaxed meals whether you’re enjoying a family outing, a romantic dinner, or a catch-up with friends.
The menu at The Eaves reads like a love letter to British comfort food, showcasing standout dishes that highlight the best of regional flavors. Imagine savoring a perfectly roasted Norfolk Turkey, served with a pig in blanket and a fluffy stuffing ball, or delighting in the tender Lincoln Red Roast Topside of Beef—both dishes a testament to traditional Sunday roasts done right. For seafood lovers, the breaded premium wholetail scampi with chips, peas, and fresh salad garnishes bursts with fresh, crispy textures, while the salmon fillet poached and served with buttered baby potatoes provides a delicately buttery and wholesome option.
The skillfully prepared starters set the tone—whether it’s the homemade chicken liver and brandy pâté with its smooth richness, or the zingy king prawn cocktail that refreshes the palate. Those looking for a touch of indulgence will appreciate the deep-fried Brie, perfectly golden and oozing velvety softness within, paired beautifully with crisp salad and a slightly tart blackberry accompaniment. The culinary craftsmanship is clear in every plate: from the perfectly steamed vegetables that retain their vibrant color and natural sweetness, to the honey roast gammon that melts softly on the tongue with a delightful caramelized edge.
The Eaves is equally impressive with its dessert selection. Sticky toffee pudding comes generously drizzled with warm, gooey caramel, offering a satisfying end to your meal. If chocolate is your weakness, the hot chocolate fudge cake with dark and white chocolate chunks is an irresistible indulgence, rich and decadently textured. For something lighter but equally luxurious, the crème brûlée, homemade and topped with delicate chocolate wafer curls, provides a silky custard that’s both comforting and refined.
Dining here is not just about the food—the ambiance and service add layers of enjoyment that make each visit memorable. We visited for Sunday lunch. Was busy, most tables full. Decent size, low ceilings, lovely space outside for sitting, and further to the rear is camping pitches. Service was smooth and friendly, food was good. Very freshly cooked, not over cooked steamed veggies just how I like them. Roast potatoes not very crispy but otherwise tip top. Partner had very good portion of leg of lamb which he enjoyed. I had the nut roast which was one of the better nut roasts I've had (rice based, seeds and nuts and mushrooms i think). Will definitely visit again. Lovely vibe, lovely grub
Amazing and super delicious food in a cozy and friendly environment. We recently visited again and really enjoyed our food. The attention to detail is excellent and we felt really welcomed.
We stayed here camping very good rates and clean toilets. We had a meal 2 of the 3 nights in the restaurant when we were camping. Fantastic food and very friendly staff especially the cleaner who we met on the morning or our arrival and the waitresses who also worked in a school unfortunately I didn't get their names. A true credit to the business and the team we will return thanks
Although a remote location, the pub is a gem of a find, the food was very good and good quantity a lot of meat especially. We only had the main course of the Sunday lunch, as we had no room for puddings, what we saw being served to other customers looked good.
Fantastic food. Food cooked to order so sit and have a few bevvies while you wait. Service was great and the young lady was friendly and helpful. Not a big restraunt but it's cosy and welcoming. Tables in beer garden if you like dinning in the open air. Dog friendly. We were in the camping site at the rear of the pub so handy having it on the doorstep so to speak. Camping site had all the amenities you need for camping. Showers and toilets were kept clean and well stocked. Our only issue we felt were that there should have had separate toilets. Both toilets were in the shower rooms. The site is quiet as you'd expect for an Adults only site. Lots of pigeons cooing and cows mooing. Nice walks for the dogs , these are to the rear of the camp site.
Cosy and a very friendly welcome. I had the roast beef, plate of food was a big portion of meat. More than enough and then lots of veg too.. very nice and very good value. Update: Just been again, I had fish goujons as a starter from the specials. It would have done me as a main! Was very well looked after by Lisa and James who was very knowledgeable about all the drinks, he was helping me work my way through the gins recommending mixers that compliment
Here you have a lovely country pub out at Spilsby. A lovely welcoming from staff as we entered the bar area, I was a little bit disappointed they didn’t have any other beers on tap but Carling but it isn’t a massive issue. Very comfortable seating area near the grand fire place while we awaited our food. I had the chicken curry and I was very happy with my choice. Great portion size, not often am I full after a meal but that did the job. There wasn’t a big wait on the food, brilliant service and a nice peaceful atmosphere. Thank you very much for your hospitality, I hope to revisit in the future.
